Panel Operations
The Commission regional panels meet generally every 8 weeks. Each meeting is approximately 3 days in the region. However, during winter months, meetings that require onsite visits may be re-scheduled to provide more information from the onsite visit when ALR lands are more accessible and not covered with snow. As workload varies by region and business needs and is largely guided by the number of applications received, the 8 week schedule may be adjusted to reflect the workload.
Commission staff will communicate with applicants throughout the application process to keep them informed of the status of an application. Applicants should bear in mind that the application process is designed to allow the Commission (an administrative tribunal) to make an informed decision on each case and on the merits of that case and it will not be bound to a particular time frame for considering an application.
