Mapping Overview
The ALR covers over four million hectares. Some ALR blocks cover thousands of hectares while others are small pockets.
The Commission maintains the official maps of the ALR. ALR maps are indexed by Regional District and are updated four times a year. Map amendment periods end on the following dates: January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31.
At present, digital ALR maps are only available for certain Regional Districts. See
